Matthew was born in Tulsa, OK and raised in Northeast Kansas where his father served as an ordained elder in the Kansas East Conference of the United Methodist Church. After graduating from Shawnee Mission South High School in Overland Park, KS, Matt enlisted in the U.S. Army (Infantry) where he served for 5 years. Matt is a veteran of the Bosnian Conflict maintaining six generations of family serivce to our country.

After receiving an honorable discharge from the Army in 2002, Matt earned a B.A. degree from Rogers State University in Claremore, OK and a Master of Divinity degree at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, KY.  Matt has served United Methodist congregations in Durant, OK, New Milford, NY, and Mobile, AL prior to being appointed to Stroud, OK in February of 2009. Matt is married to Kate, a native of Florida, and together they have 4 children.

Don and Gloria Ford lead the many and varied music ministry programs of the church. Ranging from the chancel choir, to Sunday Morning KidSing, to chime choir, and everything in between! Don and Gloria come to us with a tremendous amount of experience in leading worship and we are excited and blessed to have them on our team!

Edna has served faithfully at Stroud FUMC since 2001 as the church secretary. Recenlty, Edna was promoted to the position of Director of Hospitality and Missions, and oversees all hospitality local mission ministries of the church.
